A Bit About Us

First off let me introduce myself, I'm Kendra - mother of two little cuties, DIY'er, vintage lover - my ideal job would be a cross between American Pickers and Million Dollar Decorators, creative-thinker (at least I like to think so) and major procrastinator at least when it comes to things I think may be little over my head - like starting this blog.

My Mom Patricia and I will be writing this blog together - she'll probably correct that to read my Mom and me - anyway we both enjoy creating things with our hands and have had a great time designing paper and pillows for our Etsy shops. Starting a blog is something we were both interested in doing and always talked a lot about all the wonderful things we would post - design projects, recipes, before and after photos you name it. But every conversation ended the same way with me saying "It will be ready by the end of the week" now, almost 6 months later, here we (finally) are. Hopefully this blog will chug along now that I actually got up the courage to let my words be seen by the whole world - or you follower number one! So I'm hoping if you are reading this you will join us for the ride!

 

And I am Patricia, the partner in this exciting adventure! Although Kendra and I both love crafting, there is a big difference that I think our followers will enjoy. Kendra can take an old door, paint it, and make it into the most adorable coffee table or just pull together items from sales and create the most amazing decorations. People walk into her home and say, “You made that with what?!”

On the other hand, I like the plan, the pattern, the final image in my mind before I start a project ~ probably the result of writing lesson plans for 26 years! 

 

 It took a little time to get to this place, but I am so looking forward to “diving in” to make our blog exciting, fun, and informative.
