Peanut Butter Crunchy Fudge Brownies

The idea of peanut butter and chocolate is my idea of "almost perfection"!  When I found this recipe, I knew that I just had to give it a try, and the results did not let me down!

Ingredients:
9x13 inch pan of fudge brownies.  You can use a box mix or give Anne Thornton's Decadent Brownies a try.
1/2 cup salted peanuts
16 Reese's peanut butter cups, chopped
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips ~ milk chocolate
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare the brownies, and bake for 5 minutes less than the recipe
  states.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with the peanuts and peanut butter
   cups
Return to the oven for 5 minutes.
While they are baking, melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter,
and butter in the microwave for 1 minute.  Stir.  If the chips
have not melted, return for 15 second intervals.  Be careful
   not to overcook.
Add the cereal stirring until all is coated with the chocolate
   mixture.
Remove the brownies from the oven, and pour the chocolate mixture
   evenly over the top.
Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Cut in 24 pieces. Keep any
   leftovers in the refrigerator.

Hope you enjoy as much as we did! Pin It
