I wanted to make a special dessert just for Layla ~ so here is the background story..... One of the activities Layla learned in her first dance class was called "Making a Pizza." Of course we all had to try it too! Each person gets to pick a topping for our group pizza. Our mundane choices were pepperoni, sausage, etc., but not my little Layla! Her pick ~ "chocolate chips"!
I remembered a recipe that I use to make for my children, and I knew it would be perfect for Layla!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Pizza
Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup (6 oz. package) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
In a large bowl combine sugar, brown sugar, butter, peanut butter, vanilla, and egg.
Press dough evenly over the bottom of a 12" or 14" pizza pan forming a ridge along the edge.
Bake for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and top with marshmallows.
Bake an additional 5 - 8 minutes or until the marshmallows are puffy and lightly browned.
Cool; cut into wedges.
Enjoy!
