Chocolate Chip Cookies

I have tried so many chocolate chip cookie recipes that I feel like Goldilocks always looking for one that "is just right"!
I am sharing two of my favorites but would love to hear from anyone who has found the Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe.

Recipe 1
Ingredients:
3 2/3 cups of flour minus 2 tablespoons
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
2 1/2 sticks unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar minus 2 tablespoons
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
12 oz. package chocolate chips (I used 6 oz. semi-sweet and 6 oz. milk chocolate)

Directions:
Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into a bowl.
Cream sugars and butter until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).  Add eggs. Stir in vanilla.
Reduce mixer to low speed, and add dry ingredients slowly, mixing just until combined.
Refrigerate dough for 24 - 36 hours.

When ready to bake, preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Bake 9-10 minutes until lightly browned.

Recipe 2
Ingredients:
 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
 1 teaspoons baking soda
 1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cups packed brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
12 oz package semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar.
Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended.
Stir in the eggs and vanilla.
Blend in the flour mixture.
Finally, stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown.
