Stair Makeover Ideas

We have lovely stairs in our new house but I have been considering trying to stencil or wallpaper the base of them to add a little color.

Loving these stenciled stairs. Not sure I'd have the patience though!

And I'm dying to use this Julie Rothman wallpaper somewhere and think it would look great on the stairs - so whimsical and fun...and my two year old loves birds!
