Easy Cherry Crisp Recipe

This easy cherry dessert is actually cooked in the microwave ~ simple and delicious.  In less than 20 minutes you will have a warm treat that can be served with ice cream, a dollop of whipped cream, or just by itself.

3 cans of cherry pie filling
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 1/2 cups oatmeal (I used the fast cooking)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
2 tablespoons butter (cut into small pieces)

In a greased casserole or pie pan, mix the cherries, almond extract, and lemon juice.

Combine the oatmeal, brown sugar, flour, and butter in a separate bowl.

Add to the top of the cherries.

Cook in the microwave for 10 minutes or until bubbly.
