Pinterest Challenge - Scalloped Paint Chip Art

When I saw this post on Pinterest, I totally loved the idea!  It looked easy and the results were so pretty. Since I had so many paint chips left over from trying to decide on colors for my bedroom, I decided to give it a try.  I did make a couple of
changes ~ mine was going to be in ombre shades of green, and I decided to mat my finished picture.

Supply list
Paint chips (I needed two in each shade)
Frame (Mine was an 8" x 10" with an opening of 5" x 7")
Hole punch (I used a 2")
Glue

Directions:
Hole punch your circles from the paint chips ~ I was able to get 3 circles from each.  Since some of the colors were similar, I made piles for each.

I used the lightest green to create my row ~ I found that 9 circles worked with my mat.

Arrange them from light to dark on the cardboard that comes with your frame.

I realized that I didn't have enough of the darkest green. Since it would be at the bottom of the mat, I thought it would work.
When you are satisfied, glue your circles in place.  I used a glue stick rather than a hot glue gun.  As Chris said in her blog it will give you more flexibility to position the circles.
Add your mat and frame.
I am really happy with the finished product, and I think that it will find a good home on my new bookcase.
