Pinterest Challenge Friday - Guest Post - Paper Covered Vases

Our super sweet friend (and fellow Pinterest addict), Kerry, sent us photos of a Pinterest Challenge she recently took on.   Kerry, who co-writes the crafty and cool blog Eat.Make.Play with her friend Dalton, was inspired by this pin and was gracious enough to share the details of her beautiful work:

I loved the vibrant colors and the texture to the vases. I also had a bunch of white bud vases from Ikea that I have meaning to do something with. I really liked the idea of giving the vases a colorful makeover.

 

Supplies: Vases, Mod Podge, paint brush, pretty paper

and acrylic sealant spray (to make the paper water-resistant).

I used scrapbook paper in coordinating colors and cut them up into small strips. I then used Mod Podge to apply the strips to the vases. This ended up being the trickest part because my hands were covered with Mod Podge and they were sticking to everything! I then let the strips dry and then sprayed on the acrylic sealant, making the vases water-resistant.

Then the vases were ready to fill with flowers!

 

Pretty times three!
