My Quiet Place - A Chairish Design Board Challenge

Hello All!  Last week, I received an email from Daphne at Chairish asking if I'd be interested in creating a design board based around one of the vintage accent chairs currently for sale on their site. As someone who loves vintage furniture, I am no stranger to Chairish  and their curator-approved treasures.  And I have enjoyed seeing what some of my favorite bloggers have purchased and sold on the site over the last year.  So I eagerly accepted the "challenge" and got to work putting together a board based around a gorgeous fuchsia Danish Teak Lounge Chair by Arne Vodder France & Son.

Once I choose the chair I knew the space I would create would me mine - my little corner of the world - so I added elements that were soft, colorful, warm and inviting.  And whimsical - of course!  You'll find the full list of items in the design board below, two of which are from Chairish - check out their entire site for a lot more pre-owned goodness!

Bold Boy Nursery Design Board

Hi there and happy Tuesday!!  If you have been on this blog for any length of time you know I love creating design boards...I have even parlayed my little "hobby" into a very fulfilling little business.  So when my sweet friend Katie, who is expecting her first baby this Spring, asked me for a little help coming up with some ideas for her nursery I was super excited to get started.

Katie had started a Pinboard so it was easy to see what she what inspired her and the overall feel she wanted this special room to have.  Pops of color, modern with natural elements mixed in to keep the space warm and cozy!

Below is the design board I came up with using Katie first choice of paint color, Benjamin Moore's Navy Hale - which I think will look amazing in this small space.  All of the other room elements will be bright and colorful so the room won't feel dark at all.  So excited to see the finished room and to meet her little boy!!

Feature on Design Mom

I am so thrilled that Kendra's beautiful home is displayed on Design Mom!

In my very first post, I wrote that Kendra could take a simple item ~ one that most of us would overlook ~ and make it into a "creation"!  Well, now people all over the world can enjoy those handcrafted items as well as the bright beauty of her home.
My daughter-in-law said that you need to stand still so that you don't miss seeing all of the little details that Kendra has incorporated in her décor.  How true that is! 

In my opinion the word in her expedit reflects the feeling in the entire house ~ HAPPY!
And as a grandmother "Noni", there is no better feeling that knowing your granddaughters are growing up in a home that reflects their parents' love ~ a place where they are encouraged to develop their creativity and their own personalities ~ a place where their artwork is prominently displayed for everyone to see.

I am excited that Kendra has begun her on-line "Happy Home Interior Design" so that others can benefit from her creativity!

I am so proud of you, Kendra and of the warm and loving home that you and Scott have created!

A Polka Dot Blouse + Options

Ahhh just what I needed another online vice.   Polyvore, which I thought was only for putting outfits together (aka not usually my thing) also gives you the ability to put together interior design boards too.
